Don't be deceived by the somewhat dated style of this book cover, it contains a wealth of good advice.Stalter relates how correctly perceiving body language can give you hints to the dynamics of your office and business dealings. By building on the Consistency Openness Reaction Expression (CORE) method of interpreting body language, you can tell if someone is bored, interested, restless or engaged. The book covers all aspects of body language in a comprehensive way by addressing eye movement, arm positions and posture and possible workplace scenarios. Each chapter concludes it's basic points in a bullet point format under the question "Did you catch that?"What was a disappointing about this book was the quality of the photo/graphics and cover. While the information was quite good, it wasn't presented in a way that was up to date. However, I did enjoy the segment about some of the mannerisms in different countries. For instance, in Japan you offer your business card to someone using both hands. In the middle east, the right hand is used for all transactions because the left hand is considered unclean. Overall, Stalter shares a significant amount of helpful information with photos and charts to help illustrate the point.
