Every diet resulted in a weight gain. I am completely disfunctional in relation to food. At least I was until I read this gem. Doctors don't get it, the news media doesn't get it, Dr. Laura doesn't get it, commercial diets ESPECIALLY don't get it. These two nutritionists get it 100%.A good book for anyone who doesn't want to just lose weight. This is a book for those who want to be healthy while maybe losing weight.Really great book to understand why the dieting cycle is dangerous and How to break it. Life changing.My girlfriend sees a dietician for weight loss and is losing weight. The dietician gave her this book to read so I think it will be very beneficial and help me also. The book arrived quickly and was in good condition.This has been one leg of a three legged approach I have used to weight loss. The authors provide the cognitive basis for addressing the root causes of weight gain. I've had to add a structured program (Weight Watchers) and counseling to get any real long term results.This book was just so-so. Nothing that I didn't already know and not a very interesting read.I really needed this oneA new way to think and live with food is a life you can be happy with. Reboot, reprogram yourself to ignore external influences about food.
