This is a very nice quality salt scrub, with the definite smell of ylang ylang essential oil (not a very heavy scent, and normally mixed with other essential oils - this product smelled like just ylang ylang oil). I personally would have loved a bit more essential oil mixed in... part of the joy of using any skincare product, for me, is the scent. Especially for something like this where it takes a good bit of time to spread the scrub over your whole body. I personally don't have a super comfortable bathroom where I can lounge comfortably while scrubbing, or for the 5 minutes after applying the scrub. But it takes me a while to cover my whole body because I like a really intense exfoliation, so I just went ahead and started showering right after I finished scrubbing. This is definitely a nice quality product. I would have just preferred a more refined fragrance experience, since it's not a really comfortable process for me, standing in the shower scrubbing my skin, and I think that smelling something really lovely would help the process be more enjoyable.I'm really impressed with this K-beauty product. I usually classify salt scrubs as either more oily or more watery. This one is so nicely balanced. The scrub has almost a spongey feel. The grain is nice and fine. I got the Honey, which is supposed to be lemon scent, but there isn't much smell to it. I would describe it as fresh with just the slightest hint of citrus. I do wish it had a bit more natural scent. When I put it on I can see just a bit of oil shining on my skin, but it absorbs really well if left on a bit or will wash off quickly. The how-to photo in the listing recommends applying the scrub in the shower, and then, leaving it on for 3-5 minutes before washing it off with warm water. That gives it time to absorb. That was very moisturizing and not irritating for my normal but "mature" skin.I put it on right before a bath, and it didn't leave a ring around my tub. I also love leaving a jar of scrub by the sink for treating my hands, and this is perfect for that. While I don't use scrubs on my face and don't recommend them for that purpose, this is a finer grain so not as harsh as many others. There is a very hard to read label that seals the jar which shows the ingredients and some strange precautions. I couldn't get a good picture of it but another reviewer did. I think it's not translated exactly right. It says not to use it on a scar, eczema or dermatitis. I think that means it is not best for sensitive skin or any broken skin that is still healing. It also talks about symptoms appearing by direct sunlight and not storing the product in direct sunlight. I think it's common sense not to store skin care products outdoors, but it's also best to keep them in a cool place. I think the warning about a reaction is because this product contains lemon oil and another one of the products has grapefruit oil which can cause sun sensitivity. I wash it off well and have not had any problems so far, and I get plenty of sun. I would maybe avoid it before outdoor activities, and I wear SPF daily.I have tried a lot of scrubs over the years, and this has earned a place on my favorites list. I am interested in trying the other varieties too. I highly recommend salTherapy body scrub. This is a very gentle and exfoliating scrub. It says it is honey scented but it doesn't smell anything. It doesn't have any fragrance at all. The granules are thick in size and it is good to use on the body. The granules are little too big to use on the face. It leaves the skin smooth and moisturizesI love the coffee body scrubs and the salTherapy scrub is a winner! I open the jar and it smelled just like having a fresh poured cup of coffee. When hubby came home, I told him to clear his nose, put the jar under his nose, and said to inhale. This is a guy who hasn't had much of a sense of smell for at least the last 10 years. But the eye opened and said COFFEE!?!? There is about 10.5 oz of scrub in the jar - this will last me a while. With winter coming, I will only be able to use a scrub about once a week, and very gently at that. So far, I've had no issues using it. My skin felt fine afterwards. The down side & reason for minus 1 star: Price. It is about $28 for the jar. I probably will not order again at that price. Though it could go in the Christmas wish list. Christmas is only 74 days away,I am in love with this scrub. Smells great just like honey. I use it on rough spots like feet knees and elbows. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth after rinsing. Great productI didn’t know what to expect, but this seal salt scrub has a lovely spongey texture. The smell is light and it has avoid sud to it.Nice shower scrub, just doesn't smell appealing.I add to one of my shower washes and it is great.I recommend after shaving to try on your legs and then wash, keeps my hair from coming back longer. It has also helped the peeling on a severe sun burn, without any irritant on sensitive skin. This is a very different consistency than other salt scrubs I’ve used. Instead of being like a very thick liquid with salt crystals in it, this is more like a gel that’s wiggly, almost like a kid’s slime toy. And I don’t mean that to be as negative as it sounds! It’s a good product, just different. The scent is very mild, just a little hint of lemon scent, so if you like heavily scented products, this may not be for you. Personally, I prefer lighter scents, so this suits me. It isn’t as “gritty” as many other salt scrubs I’ve used, but it still gave a nice scrub and provided good exfoliation. There are enough oils that it left my skin feeling soft and moisturized, though I did follow with lotion, but I almost always do that.Good for those who don’t like an overly abrasive scrub and who like mild scents.
