This is one of those cases where I’m happy I got the wrong item.The guitar I ordered was supposed to come with a capped maple fretboard, which looked pretty neat, but the one I received looks to have a rosewood fretboard. Which looks absolutely amazing with the abalone inlays.Neck:The action is set really low and there’s no string buzz with a light to medium attack. The fretboard radius is pretty flat (almost PRS like) and the neck is very slim in comparison to most Les Paul-style guitars. The nut was also cut perfectly and upon inspection seems to be a genuine bone nut.Weight:The weight is light for a Les Paul (a tiny bit over 8 pounds) so it’s super comfortable to play for long periods.Pickups:The pickups on this thing is really what blew me away. Everything up until me plugging it in was great, but I held my breath when I hooked this bad boy up to my Kitana. For a lot of lower end/ overseas guitars there’s always somewhere they cut corners.I thought it would be the pickups. I was very, very wrong.The clarity from these pickups (supposedly Alnico V’s) is nothing short of astounding for the price I paid. It sounds almost like a fat single coil on low volumes, and then gets nice and overdriven when the volume is turned up. This actually sounds more versatile—tone wise—than my strat. I don’t know how Fojill did it.Wrap-Up:Of course the elephant in the room is they straight up sent me what I didn’t order. If you were deadset on the maple fretboard you would be understandably upset. But I really love the rosewood(?) fretboard it came with, so for me this thing is a 8/10 flat.There are some finishing flaws like the poly finish being a little thicker in hard to see areas. But it’s fair to say if you’re paying $200 for a guitar with stainless steel ball-end frets, a bone nut and Alnico V pickups, you can’t really complain much.Since Amazon doesn't give me an option for 4.5 stars, I’m giving it 5 stars. If you do order this, just bear in mind that errors will occur, and you’re not guaranteed to get exactly what you ordered. Luckily returns are a few clicks away.Thanks for reading.
